Chelsea booked their place in the FA cup final on Saturday with an hard fought victory over rivals Tottenham.
Having taken the lead twice through Brazilian winger Willian, the Blues were twice pegged back thanks to sublime goals from Spurs’ Harry Kane and Dele Alli.
Eden Hazard gave Antonio Conte’s side the lead after coming on as a second half substitute, but it was the next goal – Chelsea’s fourth – which sent the Blue half of Wembley into dreamland.
Great work again from that man Eden Hazard down the left flank saw the Belgian cut the ball back to Nemanja Matic on the edge of the box, but no-one expected what happened next. The Serbian midfielder let fly with his favoured left-foot, rocketing the ball past a motionless Hugo Lloris in the Tottenham goal, off the underside of the crossbar and in.
The strike was one of the greatest ever at the new Wembley Stadium, and as enjoyable as it was, Blues’ defender Kurt Zouma’s reaction to the wonder strike was equally as entertaining.
The Frenchman clearly couldn’t believe his eyes at his team-mate’s belter. Priceless.
